Welcome to "Weimweb", where you will find Weimaraner pedigrees on some of today's top dogs.   Breeder information and Weimaraner pictures are included with each pedigree. The dogs on Weimweb are owned by breeders and members adhering to the Weimaraner Club of America standards to continue the preservation of the quality of the breed.  From Best In Show winners, to Breed winners, Winners Dog or Bitch, to class winners, to some of the Top Hunter and Obedience Titled dogs, you will find a selection of the best the breed offers.   Search for stud dogs, read breeder history, email a breeder for information, view a breeders' weimaraner, find a handler or study pedigrees.  You may even find a puppy or adult dog for sale.

Viewing Weimweb is open to all.  There is no need to register if you want to view the dogs posted to the site.  Posting your dogs information is only available to owners of Champions, obedience, agility or hunting titles OR any canine being actively shown.   The only requirement is that all information posted must be accompanied by a picture.  If a dog’s picture is not submitted within two weeks of posting your information, you will be deleted.  Other sites are on the web for pedigrees only.  This is your place to be seen.  During registration you will be asked questions about yourself.  You must enter this information or your canines information will not be saved.  If you have problems or would like someone to do the work for you, use the contact button above.  There is no charge for adding your information to the site.   Your participation is appreciated.   Please treat your submissions as your own mini web site.  Check your spelling and your titles.  No one else has the capability to enter your section.

Instructions: To post information, you must first register. During registration, enter your biography or any information you want to appear under your name on the breeder’s page.  You must fill in all information requested before you attempt to upload any dog information.  After you save, go back to the menu and select add an animal.  You will then be given the option to select the sex and type of information you want to enter about your weim.  Enter the dogs name **with titles at the end of the name.  This will insure that each dog is listed alphabetically.  By checking the  Brom , Sex, and CH boxes , the dog will also be shown on the Brom page shown as a champion and/or Brom. (Broms will not be separated by sex.)
 
               **To stay on this site you must up load the dogs' picture.  If there is no picture, you will be deleted.** 
 
Complete the four generation pedigree.  Up load up to seven pictures of the dog or bitch, (or offspring). You may designate which picture will be your first picture shown on the site.   Enter the information you want to state about your dog or bitch.     You can list your contact information in the comments section.  Your email will be hidden when entered in your login information to keep spammers away.  It would be a good idea to show someway to be contacted.
The email you enter into the comments section will not be hidden.  Please enter the owners name, the breeders name, email addresses for both, and your kennel name.  If you want to enter your complete address and phone you may do so.  List your OFA info, other health issues, any wins, rankings, DOB and or DOD, etc.  You can make litter announcements in comments and show pup pictures in the bitch or dogs section in one of their 5 other picture boxes.  Be sure to save the information by clicking the box at the bottom of the page.
 
The Breeders information section is for your use to state your history and accomplishments in the breed.   This completes your login information.  This will go to the breeder’s page so you will not have to do this twice.
 
The "Edit My Profile" button is used to edit your information only.  You do not have access to edit other members information or others animal information. It is also advisable to enter the date that you submitted your information for your reference purposes.

CODE OF ETHICS:
(Submitted by the WCA Board of Directors to its membership)
 
This code is established in accordance with the objectives of the Weimaraner Club of America and is set forth as a guideline to protect and advance the interests of the Weimaraner by maintaining high breeding standards and by encouraging sportsmanlike competition at dog shows, field trials, obedience trials and tracking tests. Adherence to the code is strongly recommended.
 
BREEDING: The breeder shall:
  1. Breed only with the intentions of improving the breed, and of finding suitable homes for the puppies.
  2. Choose only healthy parents of good temperament and qualities in relation to the Weimaraner's AKC-approved official standard and whose hips have been X-rayed and certified free from hip dysplasia by either the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals (OFA) or any ABVR certified veterinarian.
  3. Breed dogs with no hereditary defects or disqualifying faults.
  4. Breed only mature bitches with excellent pre-natal and post-natal care for the dam and puppies.
  5. Refuse to breed a stud to any female which is markedly inferior physically, mentally or temperamentally.
HEALTH: The owner shall maintain the best possible standards of canine health, cleanliness and veterinary care, including mental health such as contact with people and exposure to the outside world.
 
REGISTRATION: The owner shall breed only AKC registered Weimaraners with other AKC registered Weimaraners, and keep accurate records of matings and pedigrees.
 
SALES: The owner/breeder shall:
  1. Not breed, sell, or consign puppies or adults to pet shops or other commercial dealers.
  2. Urge puppy purchasers to spay or neuter all pets which for any reason will not be used for breeding.
  3. Honestly evaluate the quality of the Weimaraner sold and fairly represent that evaluation.
  4. Not release puppies before they are seven weeks of age and furnish details on feeding, general care, medical inoculations and care, pedigrees etc.
  5. Screen all prospective buyers to assure that puppies will have a safe and loving home.
  6. Follow up on puppies after the sale to insure their continuing care and to encourage the owners to become involved in Weimaraner activities in show, obedience, field and tracking.
 
SPORTSMANSHIP The owner shall always conduct himself in a manner which will reflect credit upon himself, his Weimaraner and the Sport of purebred dogs, regardless of the location or circumstance.
